Star Wars: Battlefront sequel will be ‘dramatically larger’ than the original according to EA

Given that it will have a campaign, I’d be inclined to agree.

EA’s Chief Financial Officer, Blake Jorgensen spoke at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference recently and talked a little bit about the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront sequel. Jorgensen described the game as “dramatically larger” than the original and that it will feature "a lot of new characters" from the newer movies.

Naturally, he did not elaborate on what that means, but it stands to reason that we will see a lot from the game at E3 2017. Personally, I'm hoping for at least a Darth Vader-at-the-end-of-Rogue One style level from the campaign, so keep your fingers crossed.

Presumably, Jorgensen’s comments can be derived from the fact that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will have a single-player campaign, something that was sorely lacking from the original game and its content is said to span multiple eras of the Star Wars saga. The comments are also pretty identical to ones he made at an investor briefing back in December when he described the upcoming game as "much bigger" than the original.
