DICE recently released their first piece of DLC but they have not forgotten about those who didn't purchase it right away, they are now adding four new weapons to the game, one for each class.
Fans have been asking DICE for more content for the base game, and ask and you shall receive. DICE will be adding one new level 10 weapon for each class, making for four new killing tools in total. Just like in the newly released They Shall Not Pass DLC, these new weapons will have some unlock requirements.
The video above by Mr. Battlefield himself, Westie, gives a more detailed breakdown of the new guns, a briefer version follows bellow.
Assault – Hellriegel 1915 Defensive
As the name implies, this is a more defensive version of the Hellriegel 1915. It comes with a bipod and two 120-round drum magazine and overheats after 40 rounds. The unlock requirements are 300 Hellriegel 1915 kills and 25 AT mine kills
Medic – Selbstlader 1906 Sniper
This is a scoped and biopoded version of the Selbstlader 1906. It offers greater range than the original. The unlock requirements are 300 Selbstlader 1906 kills and 25 rifle grenade kills.
Support – Huot Automatic Optical
This version comes with a better sight and a foregrip, making it more accurate and more accurate. It will be best suited for on-the-move action. The unlock requirements are 300 Huot kills and 25 limpet charge kills.
Scout – Martini-Henry Sniper
The juiced up Martini makes the already powerful sniper even more long range with the iron sights being replaced by a long range scope and a bipod, making it the perfect "sit on the other side of the map and make life horrible for the rest" rifle. The unlock requirements are 300 kills with the vanilla versions and 25 bayonet charge kills.
Just don't start grinding for these weapons yet, Battlefield 1 won't remember your past when they are added, nullifying any pre-grinding.
When DICE is done tweaking these new weapons they will be added to the game alongside to a big update to grenades and gadgets.
