[Watch] Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 releases new 14-minute gameplay trailer showing off Side Ops Mission with Challenge Mode

A mode that relies on your skills and doesn't hold your hand.

As we march ever closer to the release date of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, developer CI Games is giving players a look at a new mode that is meant to put your skills to the limit. Challenge Mode is a new addition to the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise that serves as a Side Op. Don't worry, just because it's a side feature, doesn't make it any less important, as the mode will still use the game's open world to deliver a more hardcore experience.

The core features of Challenge Mode include a missing HUD, increased enemy perception, and enemy markers that disappear after using the surveillance drone. Successfully tackling the new Challenge Mode puts an added emphasis on being prepared through your arsenal of weaponry, gadgets, and attachments to make it through without being seen.

Tomasz Pruski, a senior level designer at CI Games, had this to say about Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3's new Challenge Mode:

"Challenge Mode is one of my favorite features in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, because of how much importance it places on the skills of the player rather than relying on the game for help. A good example is when using the drone. It will tag the enemies, but once called back, players will need to rely on their memory to remember where the enemies are located inside the outpost. Precisely aimed headshots are also required, since enemies are more heavily armored on their body."

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 was recently delayed from its original release date due to Beta feedback, but it is scheduled to meet its current launch date of April 25th, 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
