Deadpool 2 Wants a Hugh Jackman Cameo, But Not as Wolverine

And no, not as People's "Sexiest Man Alive" either

Hugh Jackman may have hung the Wolverine claws up, but that doesn't stop the creators of Deadpool 2 from wanting him to cameo in their movie. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been tossing around ideas on how to get Jackman's cameo even though he's no longer Wolverine.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the reporter suggested that Jackman should play himself in Deadpool 2 in reference to his "appearance" in the first Deadpool as the cover of Time Magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" which Deadpool stapled to his face. Considering Deadpool's tendency to break the fourth wall, this would make sense, even if it's nonsense.

In response to the cameo idea, Reese said, “Oh my gosh, that's one we haven't heard. That's not a bad idea. I like that. Deadpool lives in a world where Hugh Jackman is out there. He's got the People's Sexiest Man Alive cover that he staples to his forehead in the first movie, so maybe he could meet Hugh as Hugh. That would be really funny.”

Even if Jackman doesn't appear, Deadpool will probably take some pot shots at him anyway, being technically in the same universe and all.
