In the past Porsche and EA were locked up in a partnership so tight that the vehicle was scarcely seen in any racing game, except EA games. Back in 2015, we saw the tides turn with Forza Horizon 2 seeing Porsches added in DLC and in 2016 we saw Forza Motorsport 6 get its own Porsche expansion.
Today, Microsoft has announced that Turn 10 Studios and Porsche have joined in a six-year partnership for the Forza franchise.
"We’re thrilled to share that today at the New York International Auto Show, Porsche and Microsoft’s Turn 10 Studios announced a six-year partnership to collaborate on a suite of co-branded initiatives for Porsche and the Forza franchise. The partnership kicks off today with open registration for Porsche’s esports sponsorship debut in Forza Racing Championship Season 3: The Porsche Cup – the most inclusive racing esports program and home to the largest online racing community in gaming."
The Forza Racing Championship 2017 New York Invitational Presented by Porsche is taking place this weekend on April 15-16 at Microsoft’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue and features a $25,000 prize.
