In Sega's attempt to reignite its past in the present with Sonic Mania, the long time developer/publisher has released an all new gameplay trailer showing off the level Flying Battery Zone with Knuckles as the playable character.

Knuckles comes complete with his signature abilities to glide and scale walls, making level traversal quite a bit different than running with Sonic. Sonic Mania was previously delayed for a Summer 2017 release but has yet to announce an official release date. It's also been rumored that the game will have animated cut scenes.
We expect to hear more details about Sonic Mania during E3 2017, which should coincide with a release date announcement. Sonic Mania is due to release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this summer.
