'The Punisher' series is expected to hit Netflix this coming November, according to guest director, Dearbhla Walsh.
Anticipation has been steadily mounting for the ensemble superhero series, 'The Defenders', hitting Netflix this August. While the project has been a long time coming thanks to the success of previous Marvel series' 'Daredevil', 'Jessica Jones', 'Luke Cage', and 'Iron Fist', one series in particular has left fans the world over even more excited.
The overwhelming popularity of 'Daredevil' season two can be mostly attributed the addition of fan favorite vigilante, The Punisher, played by 'The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal. After it was announced that he'd be getting his own series on the streaming service, its been a guessing game as to when we'd finally get to see it. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, guest director, Dearbhla Walsh, let it slip that the series would be dropping this November. When asked about the projects she's been working, she confirmed the following:
"…an episode for the new Marvel series, 'The Punisher', which I did just before Christmas, but it's not airing until November."
There's still no word yet on an official date, but it's looking like the holiday season may get a bit more violent than expected. Check back for more details about the production.
