Back in 2008, a little game called Lock's Quest arrived on the Nintendo DS, meshing Strategy, Tower Defense, and RPG mechanics together into one unique little package that is much beloved by its small but dedicated fanbase even to this day. Earlier this year, THQ Nordic announced that they were publishing the game in tandem with developer, Digital Continue.
Earlier this week, the game finally landed on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and brings with it, a host of improvements including upgrades to its visuals, controls, music, and features. Speaking of which, here's the full feature list for the Lock's Quest Remaster.
- New progression system automatically unlocks new turrets at specific story plot points
- Brand new Antonia Defense Battles featuring a new map
- All music remastered in high definition, with orchestrated introduction and ending
- Player controls remapped for keyboard/mouse and gamepad input
- Revamped User Interface, customized for HD resolution, including all new GUI Art
- Character portraits refactored in High Resolution
In Lock's Quest, you play as a young boy named Lock who happens upon an invasion of his village, which ends up turning into a much wider conflict. The game unfolds over 75 days of warfare as you construct turrets and traps and unleash special attacks on the invading forces.
Lock's Quest is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
