Last week, rumors of Spotify hitting the Xbox One began to heat up after one Microsoft executive was spotted using the app on Xbox Live and a Microsoft trainee revealed Spotify's Xbox announcement in the Microsoft training portal.
Now, it's more real than ever and probably going to happen soon! Spotify has hit the Microsoft Store and it's labeled as an Xbox version.
Here are the details listed on the store page:
"Soundtrack your gaming with the new Spotify app, free on Xbox One. Listen to your favorite music as you play any game, and browse playlists for every mood using your Xbox One Controller. Take listening to the next level with Spotify.
- Listen to music in the background while you game, for free.
- Browse your favorite albums, songs, and playlists.
- Easy playback from your Xbox One Controller, or change tunes from your mobile or tablet without leaving the game.
- Find the perfect playlist for epic gaming in the Gaming genre (in Browse) on Spotify.
Premium users can listen in higher quality audio and without ads."
The app is further detailed to require around 1.07 MB to 1.67 MB of space on your Xbox. In addition to that, Tom Warren posted a video of Spotify running on Xbox.
