Blizzard gets two more Overwatch teams for its upcoming league

The list keeps growing

Blizzard has closed more deals to acquire two more teams for its upcoming Overwatch League, making a total of 13 teams at the moment. The new additions to the league are Comcast Spectator from Philadelphia and Optic Gaming from Houston. The deal was closed for the total amount of $20 million for each team.

Optic Gaming is known in the esports world as a competitive and tenacious team. They are famous for their participation in the Call of Duty esports and Halo competitions. 

One more team is needed for the coming Overwatch League for the league to hit its total of participating teams, which is 14. It seems the final team will be supported by the co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks for the city of Chicago, however, Blizzard hasn’t reached a deal with them yet.

With the Overwatch League schedule to kick off next year in their new arena in Burkank, we’ll be getting news on who the final team is very soon.
