As the world waits on what is arguably the Xbox One's most anticipated exclusive, Sea of Thieves developer Rare Ltd. continues to release developer videos showing off a backend look at the studio's design and then showing off how it performs in practice. The latest video shows off the Ferry of the Damned, which to this point we knew was the place that players go upon dying in the game.
What we didn't know is that Rare is going to be using the Ferry of the Damned as a sort of social hub, not unlike the Tower in Destiny. The Ferry is a place for players to interact with one another, whether or not they served on the same crew. You can talk a little smack about the battle you just won, or hang out with fellow pirates you haven't even met yet.

In other Sea of Thieves news, the game's PC version will have the ability to be played at 540p/15 FPS for people will low-end laptops, allowing for a much greater player base to be able to try the game. Crossplay will also be a major focus of the game as users on both PC and Xbox One will be able to play with each other.
Sea of Thieves doesn't currently have a release date but is expected to launch sometime in 2018.
