Stardew Valley has been approved for the Nintendo Switch, coming soon

Get your picks and watering cans ready

Back in March, when Nintendo revealed their first Nintendo Direct which featured "Nindies" for the Switch, one game, in particular, Stardew Valley, caught everyone's attention. However, we've yet to see the game, despite the fact that it was announced, that it would be released in the Summer of 2017. Just last month the publisher, Chucklefish, took to their blog and told fans to be patient, the game was coming soon.

Finally, it looks like the game will arrive, very shortly. Chucklefish CEO, Finn Brice, took to Twitter to say the game has been approved by Nintendo and now they are working with all parties involved to get a final release date nailed down.

While we wait for a release date, we're also still waiting on an update for the supposed "multiplayer" mode that is coming to Stardew Valley. While it was announced for several platforms (PC, Xbox, and PS4), the Switch should also be included, so fingers crossed it doesn't take forever like the games physical release.

If you're looking for more Chucklefish games to get excited about, the company also teased a new game which looks like a cross between Harry Potter and Stardew Valley. No word on that games release date, on any platform.
