Star Wars: The Last Jedi drops teaser for tomorrow’s trailer release

Tune into Monday Night Football to see the full trailer.

Tomorrow night's Monday Night Football matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears will have an added attraction with the launch of a new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer. Ahead of the trailer's release, the official Star Wars Twitter account has dropped an 11-second tease of what looks like a Rey-focused trailer that may potentially feature her lightsaber training.

Check it out:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be a franchise first in that it will pick up right where its predecessor left off with the young Rey returning the legendary Skywalker lightsaber to its rightful owner (who doesn't seem too pleased to see it). What's apparent is that Luke will not keep the lightsaber, presumably because he still has the green one he constructed ahead of Return of the Jedi (and because having your hand cut off by the father you grew up idolizing has to be a very damaging moment for a person).

Star Wars: The Last Jedi officially wrapped up post-production about two weeks ago and is set to be the longest movie in the series. There are still many questions left for the trilogy to answer including Rey's parentage, how the trilogy will handle Princess Leia's exit from the storyline following Carrie Fisher's tragic passing, and who Supreme Leader Snoke is

Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases in theaters on December 15th, 2017.
