Starting tomorrow, PC players will finally get their chance to taste Destiny 2 in full when the game finally releases exclusively through Blizzard's Battle.net distribution platform. This will be the first time that Battle.net has ever published a non-Blizzard game, and (seemingly) coinciding with Destiny 2's launch is a brand new update that brings an all-new Social Tab to the app, giving players new ways to interact with each other.
The Social app is anchored by two main features, Groups and Chats. Groups allow players to coordinate their play times and in-game strategies, or simply to just hang out and relax. Groups are useful for expanding your circle of friends as they are the social hubs of the Blizzard community. Chats function as a private IM between individual users, and messages can reach your friends even if they are AFK thanks to the new Battle.net mobile app.
There are also some new personalization features that let you pick an avatar, fill out profile information, and set yourself to appear offline. Players can now also send and receive gifts, such as full games and in-game items.
Destiny 2's PC launch is promising to be a successful one, as the game will bump up the action to 60 FPS, and depending on your video card, will be the ultimate way to experience the game.
