We know Rocksteady is working on something, but what it is, still remains anyone's guess. Naturally, with the kind of success the studio enjoyed on the Batman Arkham series, a lot of people have chosen to believe that their next project revolves around yet another DC hero, Superman. There have been rumblings of such a game from WB Montreal, the studio behind the Batman: Arkham Origins prequel, but so far they've proven to be nothing but hearsay.
A user on 4Chan kicked the tires on the Superman game rumor mill back on November 1st, claiming that not only is the game real, but it is being handled by Rocksteady, and will be revealed next week as an exclusive by Game Informer as the cover of their upcoming issue. Here's a screenshot of the post.
Not only is the claim bold and filled with cliches of "scale," "ambition," and being "blown away," but it also reuses a screenshot of the GIF that appeared two years ago when the rumors started.
Naturally, social media caught wind of the post, and someone reached out to Game Informer's Executive Editor, Andrew Reiner. Here's what he had to say just two days later:
Hahahaha!

Superman? No.

Rocksteady has teased their new project as recently as the end of September, and have stayed very quiet. It's not impossible that Rocksteady is working on a Superman game or another DC game in general, it's just that this rumor has been around so long that it has gotten to the point that it's better to believe it when you see it.
