Xbox One X owners can look forward to another game getting enhanced for the beefed-up Xbox console. CD Projekt Red has released an upgrade for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hunt bring the game into 4K.
Now, The Witcher 3 currently runs at 60FPS on the Xbox One X and the enhancement features for the Xbox One X come in two options: 4K Mode and Performance Mode. Both modes support HDR, but 4K Mode brings players glorious 4K resolution (or supersampled on a non-4K display) with stable 30FPS gameplay.
Performance Mode targets a slightly higher framerate, 60FPS, by enabling dynamic resolution scaling. This means that the game will scale up from 1080p to 4K in order to maintain a more consistent high framerate.
CD Projekt Red will be releasing another patch for the already 4K enabled PS4 version of the game, which will bring HDR support.

- 2 new graphic modes: 4K Mode and Performance Mode

- enhanced shadows, ambient occlusion and texture filtering
