Atlus, the creators of the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series, wrapped up Persona 5 this year and has apparently been hard at work on another title. This title actually being a definitive version of the PlayStation 3 game Catherine.
Catherine Full Body was announced today, and it turns out to be much more than an HD version of the last generation game. Catherine was a puzzle-platformer game of its own sort, where the protagonist must battle his nightmares in order to proceed to the next morning. During the day, he’s a troubled man dating a woman (Katherine) and seeing another (Catherine). Being from the team behind Persona, plenty of antics and drama ensue. The game doesn’t make light of his cheating. In fact, his nightmares are actually punishment for his wrongdoings and losing the challenge ends with his death.
As if a love triangle wasn’t complicated enough, Full Body adds yet another girl named Rin. Yes, that’s a third girl with the same name, but she goes by a nickname. How is it actually spelled? We’ll probably find out when the game launches in Winter 2018.
