Two more games have just hit Xbox One via backwards compatibility

Play them today!

Microsoft just keeps on keeping on when it comes to their backwards compatibility initiative. They’ve quietly added two more games to the program that are playable right now with LEGO Indiana Jones 2 and Split/Second.

LEGO Indiana Jones 2 came out back in 2009 following the release of The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and included story beats from the film that didn’t make it into the first game. It also featured a Level Editor, and free roam stages with vehicles, though it was criticized for its abbreviated takes on the first three films. Though to be fair, if what you want is the first three films, it’s better just to pick up the first LEGO Indiana Jones.

Split/Second, which was just recently announced as one of February’s Games with Gold, is an arcade racing game set within a reality TV Show. It is something of a callback to old school racing games that didn’t rely on progression systems, choosing instead to focus on spectacle and speed. If you already own the game, you can play it right now. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until February 1st.
