A new Amazon listing for Sunset Overdrive has potentially leaked the release date of the PC version. According to Amazon, the PC port will release in a few days, on November 16th. You can pre-order the game on Amazon already for $19.99. The game includes all previous DLC.
Three days left until Sunset Overdrive arrives on PC, if we are to believe the Amazon listing. Seeing the webpage, it’s nigh impossible that this was mistakenly uploaded or just a placeholder. That makes it only so much more weird that neither the game developer Insomniac nor alleged the PC publisher THQ Nordic have released any kind of official statement regards the game release.
The truth is, despite the many concrete leaks that Sunset Overdrive is getting a PC version, there is zero official word on even the existence of such a port. It’s extremely weird that if Amazon is correct about the November 16 release date, three days prior to the game’s release, there is no actual announcement. We can only assume that this is due to licensing maybe, prohibiting the promotion of a non-Xbox One version of the game? This is purely speculation, of course.
Either way, the pre-order page for Sunset Overdrive has not been taken offline for over a day, so it looks like it’s legit after all. We are expecting an official announcement any day now.
If you’re curious about Sunset Overdrive and never heard of it, you probably aren’t alone. The open-world action game was an exclusive game for the Xbox One for many years now. The game was unlucky enough to go down under the massive negative PR Microsoft’s current console was receiving during its early launch year.
It’s sad really, since the game is a very unique and fun action-adventure game with a brilliant atmosphere focused around colorful and fun combat, and speedy traversal. Check out our review for the Xbox One version in preparation for the new PC port.
