Bioware has had a bumpy last few years. Mass Effect returned after being dormant for a number of years… but it failed, greatly, to the point where the series may be dead for quite some time. The acclaimed RPG studio is preparing to launch their Destiny-like MMO-lite game, Anthem, but they’ve been quietly chipping away at something else behind the scenes for some time now.
Dragon Age is coming back, it’s going to be a while before we play it (specifically 3 – 4 years at least) but it’s happening. Details are scarce and will likely continue to be for quite some time but for hardcore Dragon Age and Bioware fans, it’s nice to know that Bioware has plans for one of their best IPs out there.
The trailer didn’t show any gameplay but did tease the return of The Dread Wolf, an established character in Dragon Age lore. We really don’t know what else to make of this teaser trailer but we’ll likely hear plenty more about it in the years to come.
Anthem releases this February on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, meanwhile the untitled fourth Dragon Age game has no release date.
