Ubisoft is only days apart from their E3 replacement digital showcase Ubisoft Forward but with every passing day, it looks like there’s no real surprise going to be left. Just this Monday, a very long gameplay video of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla surfaced on the web and two days ago screenshots of Watch Dogs Legion started making the rounds.
You would think two high profile leaks are enough for a week but nope. Today we are getting probably the biggest leak to boot! The other two games were long-announced and as such, getting new footage can be considered mild.
Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Their ruthless oppression has ignited a revolution.
But we didn’t even know Far Cry 6 was a thing, and we already know so much about it. There’s no question that Ubisoft planned to make the official announcement as a major moment for this Sunday’s Ubisoft Forward showcase. Oh well, at least there will be gameplay footage for it. That hasn’t leaked. Yet.
What we know is that Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito is playing a big role in it. He’s prominently featured on the cover even. Furthermore, from the now-deleted PlayStation Store page, we learn that Far Cry 6 is tacking the series back to the tropical jungle setting where the modern incarnation of the series started out with 2012’s Far Cry 3.
