Russian developer Mundfish released a new trailer for their promising adventure-FPS Atomic Heart. The new video shows a fight with a mini-boss and features music by Mick Gordon of Doom game. Watch it here!
Ever since its reveal, comparisons to genre giants like Bioshock have been continuously made. But thankfully for all the right reasons. Atomic Heart looks just that promising with its unique settings of an alternate universe Soviet-era Russia and secret military facility.
Robots that have gone haywire and horrific biological lifeforms are running rampage. So it’s up to the player to unearth the mysteries of Facility 3826 while delving deeper and deeper into its secret depths.
Our game will have no loading screens due to [the] fast SSD. Next-gen hardware also provides an exclusive opportunity to fulfill our artistic vision and deliver our game with stunning visuals with no downgrading, which was absolutely essential for current-gen. – Mundfish via IGN
In an interview with IGN, Mundfish confirmed that Atomic Heart will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as well, and is going to take advantage of the new hardware. Mundfish is so confident that they even proclaim the next-gen versions will have no loading screens whatsoever.
A massive advantage over the game’s current-gen versions and one aspect that will surely push a lot of users to the PS5 & Xbox Series X versions. As if all that wasn’t promising enough already, Mick Gordon is doing the soundtrack for Atomic Heart. You’ll probably know and enjoyed his work in the excellent Doom remakes.
There still is no concrete release date for the title but with current-gen consoles confirmed, we hope it’ll be soon.
