Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War just had its multiplayer reveal and it looks great. Thankfully, you won’t have to wait long to play it. Along with the reveal, we got all the deets on the upcoming beta.
The action kicks off on October 8th with the PlayStation 4 beta. PS4 will have first dibs on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta from October 8th – October 12th. From the 8th – 9th, the beta will only be available to pre-orders but will open up to all PS4 users on the 10th.
If you’re on Xbox or PC, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta will run from October 15th – October 19th. PS4 users will also have access to this beta during this time without a pre-order. The other platforms will require a pre-order for access until October 17th when the beta will open up to everyone, regardless of platform or pre-order.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta will begin at 10AM on both the respective “weekends”. The second weekend will also include cross-play. We’re not sure what content will be available in the beta but we imagine it’ll be the maps and modes we saw in the reveal. We saw 4 maps ranging between traditional Call of Duty maps and big ones with 12v12 matches and vehicular combat.
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will release on current-gen consoles and PC on November 13th. Next-gen versions will launch shortly after.
