The fifth and final Night City Wire episode is out now, and developer CD Projekt RED went out with a bang. In 30 minutes, the studio showed tons of new footage of Cyberpunk 2077.
You can watch the entire episode here but be warned that long stretches are developer interviews and technical features. Namely, the impressive localization program JALI which allows automatic lip-syncing across a range of languages.
But that’s not why you’re here. You want to see gameplay. Enjoy the gameplay trailer and Johnny Silverhand feature below!
At long last, on December 10th, Cyberpunk 2077 finally comes out. After years of anticipation and lots of delays, CD Projekt RED’s long-awaited open-world action-RPG will release.
Only natural that expectations are sky-high when you consider the Polish developer’s last project The Witcher 3. That game is often called one of, if not the best game of the current generation.
Thankfully, everything we saw about Cyberpunk 2077 so far paints a very promising picture. The studio’s penchant for extreme attention to detail and an immersive world shine through here, too.
Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand is a major character in the game as well. Without a doubt, a big plus for fans of the Hollywood A-lister. Not only lends Reeves his voice but he actually acted Johnny Silverhand’s scenes via motion capture, too.
Silverhand will be a constant companion to the player by being a trapped digital soul inside the player’s mind. It’s as trippy as it sounds. But he’s so much more than just a voice in your head. Protagonist V sees him in the real world, and Johnny has his own agenda and goals.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches December 10th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia. Next-gen users will have to wait until early next year to play the game at 60fps, however.
