Rockstar Games has created a lot of beloved titles from, one of which is Bully. The crass game follows a mischievous teen who creates chaos at his new private school. It was a bit of a light RPG with the ability to freeroam, take classes, and much more. But after 15 years, Rockstar has yet to announce Bully 2.
There have always been rumblings of a sequel with concept art, leaks, and so on but never anything official. According to reputable Rockstar leaker Tez2, Bully 2 was in development up until a few years ago. In 2017, the game was reportedly scrapped in favor of moving developers on to Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar has mostly been an “all-hands on deck” studio for their last few titles, ensuring they reach a level of quality few other studios can match.
Another reputable Rockstar leaker, Yan2295, echoed the rumors of Bully 2 being canceled in 2017. This also lines up with a report we had on the game being in development around that time, probably meaning it was canceled shortly thereafter. The mythical sequel has reportedly been canceled a few times, with some of its mechanics being pushed over into other games like Red Dead Redemption. With Rockstar now working hard on Grand Theft Auto VI, Bully 2 may be a ways off or never happen at all.
If we had to take a guess, Rockstar will likely release GTA VI and then make some “smaller” scale titles. It’s possible they could go into a Red Dead 3 but may want to do something new. Bully 2 could very well be the answer to that.
As always, these are rumors and speculation, so it take it all with a big grain of salt. Rockstar’s next release will be a remaster of Grand Theft Auto V on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
