Multiplayer online RPG "Underlight"
Los Angeles, CA and Bone Chateau, Rhode Island, June 26, 2002 – Lyra Studios,
developer of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Underlight®, and
Richard Bone, an eclectic composer with a unique vision and mission he calls
"SOUNDS FROM THE ETHEREAL CIRCUS", are pleased to announce an agreement
that will add background music to Underlight®.
"We are excited about this addition to our game, we feel Richard Bone captures
the feel of the Dream City in his music.” said Brent Phillips, President of Lyra
Studios.
"As the brilliant age of "New Media" dawns upon the 21st Century, I am thrilled
to be part of a visionary work like UNDERLIGHT. The player’s ability to create
their own soundtrack to the game moves us further into the brave new world of
interactivity." said Richard Bone, composer.
With titles such as ‘Calenture’, ‘Unawakened’, and ‘Lucidity Soul’, all terms
used in the game, it is easy to see that Underlight® inspired his album ‘Ether
Dome’ to some extent. With 22 tracks available for download, players of
Underlight® will have hours of music to enjoy while exploring The Dream. The
download details can be found at

About Richard Bone
In the early 80s, Bone was a member of the successful theatrical band Shox
Lumania, which toured very extensively and released material on the ROIR label.
He was also working on some more experimental solo material on the side, some of
which was released in Europe. In 1991, Bone started his own label, Quirkworks
Laboratory Discs, to release the quirky pop work, QUIRKWORK. This was followed
by another release in a similar vein, X CONSIDERS Y. Though releases such as
METAPHYSIC MAMBO and the current DISORIENT integrate the use of pan-global
rhythms, Bone sees his current mission as "SOUNDS FROM THE ETHEREAL CIRCUS".
