Logitech’s
GT Force(tm) Wheel for PlayStation(r)2 Adds Impact to Infogrames Motor
Mayhem

Upcoming
Vehicular Combat Game To Support Logitech Force Feedback Technology

Los
Angeles, CA (E3 Booth 646, South Hall) May 17, 2001 — Logitech (NASDAQ: LOGIY)
(Switzerland: LOGN, LOGZ), has announced that Infogrames upcoming release of
Motor Mayhem will support its force feedback wheel for PlayStation®2, the GT
Force(tm). The wheel will be available from retailers and at http://www.logitech.com
this summer. Pricing is not yet available. Infogrames’ Motor Mayhem will
debut in late June for an estimated retail price of $49.99.

The
GT Force Wheel The GT Force wheel is the only force feedback racing wheel made
exclusively for use with PlayStation 2 and is the first true force feedback
peripheral for any computer entertainment system. The force feedback
technology, based on years of Logitech experience as a market-leading
developer and provider of force feedback products for the PC, helps create a
realistic and involving gaming experience.

Infogrames
says that when you participate in Motor Mayhems Vehicle Combat League(tm),
you’re always between a rock and a hard place, said Ted Hoff, vice president
and general manager of Logitech’s Interactive Entertainment Division. “The
best way to experience this kind of action is with force feedback. We think
that with the game’s support of this technology, found exclusively in our GT
Force wheel, gamers will now become a part of the action.”

Motor
Mayhem Developed by Beyond Games for Infogrames, this new vehicular combat
game, takes a new approach to the genre with strongly character-based gameplay.
Poised as the championship tournament of The Vehicle Combat League (The VCL),
only the fiercest combatants have earned the right to compete in this league
and each one of them is equipped with special weapons and unique attack moves
designed to crush their opponents. Motor Mayhem promises exciting,
action-packed gameplay through a combination of character-driven storylines
and technologically advanced physics.

“The
key element to any great game is fine-tuned control, “said Francois Lourdin,
producer at Infogrames, Inc. “With Logitech’s GT Force wheel as a
controller option, gamers are not only getting outstanding control and
functionality, but also exclusive force feedback technology that elevates the
game to a new level of realism.” The independent Entertainment Software
Rating Board (ESRB) rates Motor Mayhem“M” for “Mature” For more

GT
Force Wheel Displayed at E3 in Los Angeles The first public display of the GT
Force wheel in North America will take place at E3 in Los Angeles, May 17-19
(Booth #646 – South Hall).

Force
Feedback Force feedback is a sophisticated method for providing people with
realistic tactile feedback from a PC or computer entertainment device. It is
widely used in medical, space, and flight simulators to provide lifelike
training for students and professionals who make split-second decisions based
not just on sight and sound, but also on their sense of touch.

This
cutting-edge technology has been extended to PC gaming over the last five
years, and is now coming to PlayStation 2. Force feedback is even more rich,
realistic and engaging than the non-directional vibration feedback to which
many gamers are accustomed. Through the use of advanced software and
electronics, force feedback can move a steering wheel or joystick as if the
device were subject to real external forces.

Logitech
force feedback products use Logitech-proprietary technologies, as well as
certain TouchSense(tm) technologies licensed from Immersion Corporation
(NASDAQ: IMMR).
