ACTIVISION REVISITS CLASSIC PC ROLE PLAYING WITH
THE RELEASE OF WIZARDS & WARRIORS

D.W. Bradley’s Latest RPG, Wizards & Warriors,
Battles Onto Retail Shelves

Santa Monica, CA – October 4, 2000 – The eternal struggle of good verses evil battles its way to retail shelves nationwide with the release of Activision Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) high-fantasy RPG epic Wizards & Warriors. Created by legendary RPG designer D.W. Bradley whose credits include the classic games Wizardry V, VI and VII, Wizards & Warriors gives players control of a fledgling party of adventurers on their quest to recover an ancient magical artifact and restore balance to the enchanted realm known as the Gael Serran.

“Wizards & Warriors has its roots in the classic pen and paper RPGs that originated the genre,” said D.W. Bradley, creator and designer of Wizards & Warriors. “With an incredible amount of gameplay, dozens of side quests, unique and dynamic character development and a truly epic storyline, Wizards & Warriors is a must-have game for any serious RPG player. “

Developed by Heuristic Park, Wizards & Warriors features over 200 hours of gameplay. A first person, party-based RPG, the game has more than 30 unique characters skills and 50 character traits for players to utilize as they battle through hundreds of adventures, quests and mini-quests. Wizards & Warriors has been rated “M” for mature by the ESRB for animated blood and violence.

Wizards & Warriors features an incredibly flexible character development system for a unique gameplay experience. Players can build their character from 11 clans including humans, elves and orcs — and a few unique races such as lizzords (raptor men) and oomphaz (elephant mystics). Once players select their clan, they can further customize their characters from 15 different roles or character classes such as wizard, rogue, ninja, warlock or paladin.

The enormous setting of Wizards & Warriors is the realm of Gael Serran, a highly populated environment with more than 300 monsters and more than 100 non-player characters. The three major towns of Gael Serran are beautifully rendered and act as hubs from which the game’s adventure spokes radiate. These spokes include 3 massive outdoor areas such as forests, mountains and lakes — and 10 major “indoor” environments like castles, dungeons, caves and temples.

Minimum system requirements for the game include a PC with a Windows 95/98 operating system, 233 MHz Pentium® II processor, 64 MB of RAM and a Quad-speed CD-ROM drive. Wizards & Warriors also supports 3D acceleration through Direct 3D.
