Apparently, Nintendo does not like achievements. In an interview with German gaming site GamesCom, Harald Ebert of Nintendo confirmed that the handheld device would most not support such achievements. Instead, it may be left up to the developers to include an trophy-type system in their games, debunking EA’s Ryan Stradlings rumor from a couple months ago that the system would include it.
Ebert also stated in the interview that the design of the 3DS isn’t final and that a few minor changes may be made between now and the time of the console’s release.
