Christopher Nolan Hoping to Make an Inception Game

Somewhere, someone is listening to the cries of gamers everywhere who, after watching this summer’s excellent Inception, wanted a game for it. In an interview with Variety magazine, Christopher Nolan was recently noted for wanting to develop a game version of the movie.

“We are looking [at] developing a video game based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can’t fit into a feature film,” Nolan said at a packed Rome press conference. “That’s something we’ve been talking about and are looking at doing long term, in a couple of years.”

Although no plans have actually been announced as to what platform it would be on or what type of game it would be, I think I speak for gamers everywhere when I say that I personally hope it’s a MMO or an online game of some sort. It would work well enough in my opinion as not only would it allow Nolan not to be strictly stuck to sticking with the film’s characters, but a chance to build on the universe as well. The movie is set up like one, let’s just hope that it doesn’t flub if they make one (Batman Begins, anyone?).
