Gamers expected to get their rocks off on their go just got some bad news. PS Vita owners will not be able to browse adult porn sites on the Vita’s 3G network, at least in Japan. Boy, and I thought America had rough censorship.
Good for parents and those using Japan’s public transportation who don’t want to watch others getting off in public.
NNT DoCoMo, which will supply 3G network for PS Vita in Japan, has a special security for their network. This security won’t allow you to open a “harmful” websites. Sure, you can disable this feature, but you need to go to DoCoMo shop with your ID document. You also have to be at least 20 year old. Sorry kiddos.
No information about 3G restrictions outside of Japan have been announced. Honestly, if they are blocked would anybody care? Someone must be in extreme desperation mode to watch to watch adult entertainment on the go. It reminds me of the scene in Hall Pass where he gets caught in the car doing some pretty naughty things. Maybe Japan wants to prevent that sort of thing from happening.
