Prince of Persia Confirmed For DS

Ubisoft has recently announced that their Montreal studio is currently working on a Prince of Persia title for the Nintendo DS. The game greatly deviates from the path laid by previous iterations in the series.

In Battles of Prince of Persia, the gameplay is shifted from action to ” a turn-based tactical game driven by a collectible card system”. Set in the Prince of Persia universe, the game allows players to control vast armies from several different regions.

The game is controlled through the use of special cards collected when progressing through the game’s single player mode. The multi-player mode of the title is set to allow multiple users to trade and battle against one another.

Through the WiFi ability of the Nintendo DS, Battles gives players the opportunity fo fully customize their decks by trading with friends.
