240768According to Game Informer, Nintendo has officially announced that Jim Merrick, the popular Nintendo executive has officially left the company in order to pursue other interests. Merrick has held several important roles within the company, serving as Nintendo’s Software Engineering Manager, Nintendo Network Marketing Manager, as well as Managing Director of Sales and Marketing for Nintendo Europe.
The announcement of Merrick’s departure from Nintendo comes shortly after he officially left Nintendo of Europe in order to once again work for NOA. The popular figurehead amongst Nintendo faithful has consistently revealed new details regarding many Nintendo systems and games. At the present time, the successor to Merrick has yet to be named.
