Vanillaware made a splash with gamers earlier this year with the release of Odin Sphere. The game had beautiful 2D graphics and great gameplay. Well now Vanillaware will be brining an RPG onto the Wii.
Revealed in this weeks Famitsu is Oboro Muramasa Youtoouden, a new 2D RPG from Vanillaware. Players will take control of Kisuke and Princess Momo in a quest to recover a legendary sword. The two will face off against rival samurai as well as mythical creatures such as fairies and one-eyed giants.
The game is expected to feature high-speed ninja action that will be easy to use thanks to the Wiimote. The game will be using both waggle controls as well as button control.
The game will remain in 2D but will offer a different style because of the intense focus on Japanese themes within the game. The games camera will zoom in and out of the action when needed, like it did with Odin Sphere.
Currently the title is only around 30% complete and no release date has been announced. Stay tuned for more information as the Tokyo Game Show nears.
