Don’t you just love cross-game Easter Eggs? The latest, found in Fable 2, is the appearance of a variation of Halo’s famed Spartan armor as an alternate costume.
Technically, Master Chief himself (e.g. “John”) isn’t playable, but his Halo costume is unlockable. In fact, according to the in-game literature in Fable 2, the MJOLNIR armor — playfully called “Hal’s Outfit” — is an ancient relic from the old days of Albion, and the wearer of Hal’s Outfit is bestowed with a bit of extra defense due to its inclusion of a helmet, boots and upper and lower armor.
Before you ask: no, the overshield is not in the game. The Elite Energy Sword, however, is…sort of.
In order to unlock Hal’s Outfit in Fable 2, you’ll need to buy the Fable 2 Limited Edition. You can get it here from Amazon. Once you’ve got that version in hand, pop it into your Xbox 360 and download the exclusive content once you connect to Xbox Live. Then, once you level-up for the first time, you’ll encounter a treasure chest containing Hal’s Outfit, which is a great upgrade from the peasant clothes you’ve worn up to that point. — DailyGame
Follow the link above for several more screenshots of this variation. They also note that “Chief looks a little girly,” but this is because it’s during the early stages of the game, before the character has had a chance to bulk up.
