Katy Perry becomes the face of The Sims games

Things are getting messy in Katy Perry's life as she has reportedly been seen cheating on Ubisoft's Just Dance 3 with EA's The Sims franchise.

EA announced a "creative collaboration" with the lovely Katy Perry who is currently going through another split with Russell Brand.  But messy divorces aside, the singer/entertainer partnership with EA will feature "special Katy Perry themed in-game content and virtual goods" within The Sims franchise.

It's easy to see why EA would target Perry as the face of their all-new advertising and marketing campaigns.  After all, she does bring two very valuable assets to the game – ones that many male gamers hope to see offered as "virtual goods".  Down boys, there will be none of that in The Sims.  This is a family friendly game that just so happens to feature hot, steamy shower "woohoo" (hopefully with Ms. Perry).

"I love how you're able to play out different stories through your Sims characters – giving them different careers and watching them succeed," said Perry.  "It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams Tour – even my cotton candy video screens are in there! I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!"

A special Collector's Edition for The Sims 3 Showtime, launching March 2012, with "iconic Katy Perry themed items" will jump start this brand new relationship.

Please tell me they will have cupcake bras in the new game.  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the new face of The Sims 3 Showtime.

As for Ubisoft…well, so goes the celebrity dating game.  We've all been there before, and if not I'm sure we'd all have loved to – especially with Katy Perry.
