Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) is using the magical powers of Instagram to share pics from the set of the new Mad Max movie. Set 27 years after Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the fourth installment — Mad Max: Fury Road — stars the model-turned-actress in an undescribed role. Two actors that are confirmed for specific roles are Tom Hardy (Bane in The Dark Knight Rises) in the role of Max, last played by Mel Gibson, and Charlize Theron with her head shaved in the role of Furiosa.
Fury Road was originally slated to start shooting in Australia in 2011, but high levels of rain made the location feel less post-apocalyptic. Now, shooting just started in its new location: Namibia, Africa. Rosie posted a pic on her Instagram account of her and co-stars Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough and Adelaide Clemens sitting in the sand… just chillin'.
Director George Miller plans to shoot Mad Max 4: Fury Road back-to-back with Mad Max: Furiosa. Fury Road is planned for a 2013 release.
