I'm so tempted to make another erection joke here, but I think you all know about my Dark Knight Rises-pro erection stance. The standing ovation for The Dark Knight Rises is not coming from my crotch (yet), but from US bloggers that got to see the movie at an advance preview.
I'm not going to bother giving you a synopsis of what The Dark Knight Rises is about, because if you aren't following it, you don't deserve to know. Just know that out of the 40 to 50 people who were at the screening, all of them loved it. The bloggers aren't allowed to post their reviews until the day before it releases on July 20, but that didn't stop them from giving their reactions on Twitter.
@TomMcAuliffe, who is a comic book enthusiast and tweets a lot of movie articles, tweeted "So much awesome… can't wait to see it again. And again. And 9 out of 10 for me. I'd put Amazing Spider-Man at a 7.5 and Avengers at an 8.5."
@AustinMovieSnob tweeted "You people seriously have no idea the gut punch you have coming in The Dark Knight Rises. I can't wait to see it again. And again. And again."
YouTube movie reviewer Lauren Hiestand, @nickcarterroxs, tweeted "The Dark Knight Rises has just finished screening for the press and critics, receiving a STANDING OVATION!!!"
So far, it looks like The Dark Knight Rises is going to be everything we want it to be.
