Let's go back to 2004, when PC gamers had their first taste of Doom in a fully 3D environment, and the terrifying horrors that came with it. Let's not also forget that damn flashlight, which asked gamers to pick whether they wanted to see where they were going, or hold their weapons and traverse in darkness.
id Software and Bethesda are bringing Doom back in a big way however. How big? BFG big! So what does that mean? That means you'll be getting DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, and DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil, as well as eight all-new terrifying levels entitled "The Lost Mission". Not too shabby if I do say so myself.
This time around, we're seeing some improvements however. The dreaded flashlight doesn't have to be switched out for a gun anymore, as it now rests fastened to the players armor. Doom 3 will also feature completely remastered HD graphics, so you can get your scares in an even higher definition this time around. Lastly, Doom 3 will be playable in full stereoscopic 3D, bringing the realism of a hellish Mars to an all time high.
Return to Mars and face off against the forces of Hell. Suit up as the only surviving member of the Union Aerospace Corporation’s Bravo Team and discover the horrifying truth behind the unimaginable evil that has been unleashed across the planet. You are the last hope in a race to stop a full scale invasion from Hell.
