Evil Geniuses sign Eduardo “PR Balrog” Perez-Frangie to their Fighting Game team

Earlier this week, Evil Geniuses announced the acquisition of one of the United States' best Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 players, Eduardo "PR Balrog" Perez-Frangie to their fighting game team. This brings their total roster up to six and includes a star studded lineup of:

  • Justin Wong, a name even non-eSports fans know
  • Ricky Ortiz
  • Ari "fl0e" Weintrab
  • Chocoblanka
  • Momochi
  • PR Balrog

PR Balrog has had a number of sponsors before this including vVv Gaming where he played under the name vVv Scrub, Domionion Method Gaming (DMG), and even a brief stint for the electronic cigarette company Vapure. In addition, he has had some extrememly impressive showings at this year's Evo, placing 3rd in Super Street Fighter IV AE, and in the top 16 in Marvel.

Today Evil Geniuses (EG), North America’s premier professional gaming team and a world leader in e-Sports, is excited to welcome Eduardo “PRBalrog” Perez-Frangie to its Fighting Game division. Perez-Frangie, long time friends with members of the Evil Geniuses fighting game team, is one of western world’s top performing fighting game players. With the support from team Evil Geniuses “PRBalrog” will be able to make his way to more events and further prove the point that he is capable of competing amongst the world’s best.

It is absolutely thrilling to add another member to the Evil Geniuses family who already has close ties to the team.”

Perez-Frangie noted, “I’m really excited to join Team Evil Geniuses and to be able to represent them in the upcoming tournaments. I’ll train to be one step ahead of my opponent all the time.”

“PRBalrog” will be joining his teammates in his first major as a member of Evil Geniuses on August 10th, at Capcom Unity in New York City.
