Watch the first teaser trailer for ‘Carrie’ remake

You know how I know the 2013 Carrie remake is going to be good? Chloë Grace Moretz (playing Carrie) is in it for a second, and the emotion and distress on her face is powerful. The teaser trailer, while short, is exactly what it needs to be — a tease to make us want more. With a camera panning through a town with destruction and buldings on fire, with statements from townfolk about what happened to the town. "She wasn't some monster, she was just a girl," is the last thing you hear before the camera gets to Carrie, covered in blood.

If you've never seen the original, Carrie is based on Stephen King's best-selling novel. It's a reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

I can't wait for a full trailer, so we can get a better look at how the movie will be. But from this teaser, the film looks promising. Carrie is set to release March 15, 2013. Visit the Carrie website: Youwillknowhername.com to learn more of the story.
