When it was all said and done, not even the release of Skylanders Giants could dethrone FIFA 13 from the top of the UK sales charts. Despite sales being down 33%, FIFA 13 enjoyed its fourth consecutive week atop the charts, according to GfK Chart-Track.
Not all was lost for Skylanders Giants. The sequel to Activision's hugely popular Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure actually surpassed the debut chart position of its predecessor. Skylanders Giants landed at number 2 in its debut, while Spyro's Adventure came in at number 16.
Doom 3: BFG Edition, the re-release of ID Software's action horror, also made its debut, placing fifth on the list. The game boasts new, impressive visuals as well as all-new content and missions. Still, it wasn't enough to knock off Dishonored, another Bethesda game. Sales fell were down 51% for Dishonored, but it still placed 3rd.
Sandwiched between the pair was Ubisoft's Just Dance 4 which leapfrogged from 6th to 4th. Other titles in the top 10 include Pokemon Black Version 2, Resident Evil 6, Borderlands 2, Pokemon White Version 2, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
