Keeping up with their word of releasing new Grand Theft Auto 5 details this month, Rockstar Games had every intention of releasing a new trailer. Then Hurricane Sandy struck New york, knocking out power in much of the northeast.
In an update to fans, Rocktar acknowledged that they are "working on a second trailer."
"Unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon," the developer promised.
With Rockstar's main offices located in the lower part of Manhattan, which isn't expected to have power restored for still another couple of days, it's hard for Rockstar to estimate when the trailer will be completed and released.
"It's hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office," they explained. "We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay."
While we don't know when we'll get a new trailer, GameInformer is set to release a slew of new GTA 5 information via their next feature which is set to release on November 8, 2012. It is said to feature over 18 pages in print and is "full of details and screens". In the meantime, you can check out the original trailer which was released months ago.
Earlier this week, Rockstar confirmed plans to release Grand Theft Auto 5 in spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PS3. There is no talk about a PC version of the game, as the studio is currently focused on consoles only at this point.
