Raiden Legacy brings four games in the scrolling shooter series to mobile devices.
DotEmu, which publishes retro games on modern platforms — like the remastered Final Fantasy 7 for PCs — is compiling Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighters Jet for iOS and Android. Each one has you stopping the alien race the Cranassians from invading Earth.
The game offers Medium and Hard difficulty modes, comes in nine languages, features video filtering (for smooth, rich graphics), is optimized for iPhone 5, and is compatible with iCade and Game Center (15 unlockable achievements and online leaderboards). You can play in full-screen or with the original screen ratio and turn autofire on or off.
Raiden Legacy includes three modes (Arcade, Mission, and Training), two touch modes (Fast Touch and Arcade Touch), and more than 15 different ships and costs $4.99.
