On December 18th, Medal of Honor Warfighter is getting a map pack that has tie-ins to the upcoming Sony movie Zero Dark Thirty. The map pack will be free with Limited and pre-order copies of the Digital Deluxe edition; otherwise, it'll be priced at $9.99 for PS3 and 800 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360.
The map pack is called Zero Dark Thirty for North America or The Hunt for the rest of the world, but they contain the same exact content. According to the Medal of Honor Warfighter blog, there are two new maps in the pack:
- Darra Gun Market map: Located in a tribal land where the rules are defined by only two principles — hostility and revenge. Home to dozens of back-alley shops and self-taught machinists making guns by hand. Everyone here has a weapon and isn't afraid to use it.
- Chitral Compound map: An area of Pakistan thought for a time to be one of Bin Laden's hideouts. A mountainous terrain filled with deep narrow valleys. Nearly inaccessible — only those with the capabilities of total surprise will successfully penetrate the compound.
All game modes are supported on these new multiplayer maps. there are also 14 new weapon camos and six new weapon attachments in the map pack.
Here's the rundown on the Zero Dark Thirty film:
For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar® winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man. See the new movie in theaters this December starring Chris Pratt, Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Ehle.
