Perhaps somewhat overshadowed by newer, and highly regarded arcade titles, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition still stands as one of the highest selling XBLA titles of all time, and with that success, developer 4J Studios continue to dish out content for its community to feed upon. Today, 4J took to Twitter to respond to fan questions regarding the arcade version of the popular PC title, which brought news that the highly anticipated “The End” add-on will be delayed to a future update.
The game’s “Title 8 Update,” which is currently being constructed and tweaked for max value, will primarily focus on Title 7 bugs. According to 4J Studios, bug fixes have thus pushed “The End” update to a future date, likely update number nine, though no official word has been made.
"The bug fix update will be TU8, so The End will be later," 4J tweeted. Another tweet confirmed the “TU7” contents, stating, "[the] next update will only have bug fixes for TU7."
In a later fan response, 4J Studios confirmed that they’re also hard at work on a fourth skin pack, though no release date has been confirmed, nor a release window for that matter, and that “we can't give details yet."
After surpassing 5 million XBLA copies sold of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, the future looks limitless as to what 4J Studios can do. We turn to you, though; what would you like to see added to the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft? Let us know by commenting below.
