League of Legends' Season 3’s preseason is about over. Teams have formulated their strategies, folk have gotten used to the new items, and slight META changes have been implemented for the kick off of this new chapter. Even the teams for the Championship Series have been achieved – so on all levels the light is green 'a go. With all the work it has taken for Riot to get players ready for this new season, it’s time for a bit of celebrating.
How does a double IP weekend sound? This weekend, January 26 – January 27th, you can earn double IP when playing matches. But wait, there’s more!
From now until January 31st, there are RP bonuses for purchasing Riot Points. Basically, the standard bonuses for RP purchases have been doubled during this time period. That may be a bit confusing so Riot broke it down in an easy format found below:
$5.00 – 650 RP
$10.00 – 1460 RP (1300 + 80 standard bonus RP + 80 extra bonus RP)
$20.00 – 3000 RP (2600 + 200 standard bonus RP + 200 extra bonus RP)
$35.00 – 5450 RP (4550 + 450 standard bonus RP + 450 extra bonus RP)
$50.00 – 7900 RP (6500 + 700 standard bonus RP + 700 extra bonus RP)
$100.00 – 17000 RP (13000 + 2000 standard bonus RP + 2000 extra bonus RP)
Do note, that these double bonuses won’t work with mobile payment options. If you want to do transactions during this period, do it the right way through the game client. Get that IP and RP, make sure your rune pages are up to date, and kick off Season 3 in style.
