Chucklefish has revealed that pre-orders for its upcoming 2D sandbox title Starbound are now open. $15 will get you access to the game's beta when it becomes available and a Steam key. You'll also get the working soundtrack, with more tracks sent your way as they become available.
So far, Starbound has managed to accrue nearly $600,000. In the process, the project was able to reach its first stretch goal, and the Novakid race will now be available in-game.
Starbound is currently looking at a planned 2013 launch, so stay tuned for more on this upcoming game.
