DICE teases Battlelog 2, next iteration of Battlefield 4’s social platform

DICE has released a teaser image of what appears to be the next version of its Battlelog service, a social hub that tracks Battlefield players' stats and allows them to interact with friends, among other features. Battlelog was created as the central hub for Battlefield 3 and even serves as the place where you go to launch the game. The service is accessible via console, web, and even mobile devices.

It's assumed Battlelog 2 will launch alongside Battlefield 4 later this year. Interestingly, the image teased showed Battlefield 3. At this point, it's still too early for new features, but I'm guessing DICE and EA are gearing up for some sort of reveal. Given that there was no mention of multiplayer gameplay or footage at the Battlefield 4 unveiling, it can be assumed that the official multiplayer reveal — which I believe will happen relatively soon — will also highlight Battlelog 2.

Battlefield 4 is currently slated for a fall 2013 release.
