As promised, Rockstar has released the character trailers for the three playable protagonists in Grand Theft Auto 5. Below are the individual trailers for Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, the three characters that you'll switch between in GTA 5 when it releases later this year for Xbox 360 and PS3.
As you'll see in the three individual videos below, each character seems to have a unique feel and style — both environmentally and motivationally.
Michael
Michael is a highly successful former bankrobber who is now retired in living in luxury after making a deal with the FBI. However, he appears bored with the life he currently lives. He wants more; he wants to be a good dad; love his family; live the dream. Battling a midlife crisis and his cheating wife, Michael finds his escape through mayhem.
Franklin
Franklin has a much different story. He's a gangbanger trying to escape his life of nonstop violence. Of course, that's easier said than done.
Trevor
Trevor emerged as my favorite character of the three. This drug dealer from the sticks is a straight-up hillbilly. The guy looks flat-out insane which is probably why he seems the most fun to play as.
